It’s been a long while since I’ve posted. This is mostly due to laziness, but a certain deliberate laziness at least. Our first month in Asia was spent in Beijing visiting with all of Lily’s extended family and friends. There are a lot of them, they are all in Beijing and they all like to eat and drink. And while I left the camera in the bag for this portion of the trip, our time was not without a few excursions.
For one, we treated ourselves to a bit of Chinese torture therapy – or “massage” as they call it.
We also strolled a few parks.
In China, kids don’t need legos. They have real bricks to play with.
We played a lot of Mahjong. Lily’s parents have their own magic mahjong table that automatically shuffles the tiles and lifts them into place on the table. I’d love to see the mechanical engineering designs for this invention – truly magic.
A few street photos along the way…
Oh, and use of the english language is worth paying attention to.
In anticipation of the upcoming mid-term elections, I give you a photo of what’s being sold at the local bookstore. Notice the book to the right of Trump.
Good luck America. I wish I was there to get the vote out.
