More street photos from this neck of the woods. We have enjoyed the daily walks in Dali. Gearing up for Christmas season with letters to Santa “does he know how to find us here?” (Kai asks), and a bit of planning for folks overseas. Don’t worry about sending things to us this year… we’re on the move!
While things are dirty and poor in many ways, there is also attention to detail. We see stone murals accenting buildings throughout the town.
How long do you think this kettle has sat in the same spot and served the same purpose?
There is an attraction of color, shape and mystery to most every alley and corner here. Still life stories with odd objects. Discarded and yet, one can imagine, recently repurposed materials.
The stores spill their contents out onto the street. Each doorway is adorned with the spectrum of goods sold, making for good “window” shopping.
Other street life is in great supply…
I’ll have to put forward a collection of step photographs at some point. Here’s a taste.
And a little local fashion.
